The Plenix Team·13 October 2026·3 min readRelease 2026.10.34 makes AI Autonomy useful from the first day, gives new workspaces dashboards worth looking at, and fixes several problems you reported.
New features
- 159 ready-made playbooks. AI Autonomy now has a library of 159 device playbooks in 12 categories, including health checks, disk cleanup, network repair, security checks, updates, services, printing, Office, hardware, user accounts, servers and restarts. They cover Windows, Linux and macOS.
- Write your own playbooks. You can create a playbook from scratch with up to 20 script steps, or copy any built-in playbook and change it. You can edit and delete your own playbooks. The built-in ones stay as they are.
- Run a playbook on a device from the library. Open a playbook, pick a device, optionally link a ticket, and run it. What happens next depends on the playbook's mode. It may run straight away, wait in the approval queue, or be refused if it is switched off.
- A date range on every dashboard widget. Each widget now has its own date range, for example the last 7, 30 or 90 days, this month or this year, so different widgets on the same dashboard can show different periods.
Improvements
- New workspaces start with full dashboards. The main dashboard and every module dashboard now open with a ready-made set of donut, pie, bar and number widgets that show the most important figures for that area. Widgets for modules that are not on your plan are left out. Existing dashboards are not changed; reset a dashboard to get the new layout.
- Clearer charts. Every bar is now named, bar charts show their values, and charts have a colour key.
- A redesigned AI Autonomy page. You can search the library and filter it by category, operating system, risk, mode and who made the playbook. You can set the mode and an hourly limit for each playbook, see each playbook's steps and recent runs, and open the full record of any run.
- Playbooks check the operating system. A Windows playbook will not run on a Linux or Mac device, and the same applies the other way round. You get a clear message instead of a failed run.
Changes
- The ticketing dashboard's page-wide date filter has been removed. It did not apply reliably to every widget. Each widget now has its own date range instead.
- All Tickets lists the newest ticket first.
- Agent Installers has its own page in super-admin. It used to open the printers page.
Fixes
- Toner fulfilment no longer crashes when it is opened.
- Replies in RMM live chat are delivered after the agent service restarts. Replies from a device could fail with "the Plenix agent service is not reachable" after the agent service had restarted. The agent (version 3.79.3) now reconnects and sends the reply.
