Plenix 2026.10.4 — A credentials vault built like a password manager

The Credentials Vault is now a full workspace: smart views, instant search, password health, history and bulk actions. Share links can carry their own password, go to several people by email, and be revoked at any time.

Release 2026.10.4 rebuilds the Credentials Vault. It used to be a list you looked things up in. It is now the place you create, organise, check and share every client password.

New features

  • A full-width vault workspace. Views on the left, your credentials in the middle, and the open credential on the right. Nothing opens in a small window any more.
  • Create credentials from the vault. Add a login, API key, Wi-Fi key, licence, certificate or secure note straight from the page, for a client or for your own company. Press N to start.
  • Quick views. All credentials, Favourites, Recently used, Internal and credentials with 2FA codes, each with a live count.
  • Smart views. Needs attention, Weak, Reused, In a data breach, Expiring soon, Expired, Rotation overdue, Logins without 2FA, Restricted access, Shared by link and the Bin.
  • Browse by client, category, type and tag. Every one shows how many credentials it holds, and clients with something at risk are marked.
  • Quick search. Press / and type. Search covers name, username, URL, client, category and tags, and every word has to match, so "acme firewall" finds Acme's firewall.
  • Vault security score. One number for the whole vault, with the count of credentials that need attention. Click it to see them.
  • Password health. Each password is scored for strength, checked for reuse across the vault and can be checked against known data breaches. Only a short fragment of a scrambled fingerprint is sent for the breach check, never the password.
  • Expiry dates and rotation schedules. Set when a credential expires or how often its password should change, and the vault tells you when it is due.
  • Password history. The last 20 passwords for each credential are kept. Reveal an old one or put it back.
  • Custom fields. Add your own labelled fields, such as a PIN or a recovery code, and mark them secret.
  • Password and passphrase generator built into the editor.
  • Share links with a password. Protect a link with its own password. The password is never put in an email, so you can pass it on by phone or text. Five wrong tries destroy the link.
  • Email a share link to several people. Add To, CC and BCC recipients and a message. Each person gets the link, never the secret itself.
  • Choose what a link shows. Share only the username and password, or include the URL, notes and custom fields. 2FA codes are never shared.
  • Secure Send. Send a one-off secret that is not stored in the vault, with the same expiry, view limit and password options.
  • Shared links manager. See every link, who it went to, how often it has been opened, from where, and any wrong password tries. Revoke one link or all of them.
  • Know when a link is opened. The sender gets a notification the moment a recipient reveals it.
  • Bulk actions. Select several credentials to favourite, tag, change category, move to another client, send to the Bin, restore or delete.
  • Bin with restore. Deleted credentials go to the Bin first. Sending a credential to the Bin revokes its share links.
  • Import and export. Administrators can import a CSV from another password manager, with column names matched for you, and export the vault to CSV.
  • Vault-wide activity. One list of who viewed, revealed, copied, shared or changed anything.
  • Keyboard shortcuts. / to search, N for a new credential, arrow keys to move through the list and Esc to close.

Improvements

  • Links are safe from link previews. A share link now opens to a page with a Reveal button. Chat and email apps that preview links can no longer use up a one-time link before the recipient sees it.
  • Clearer end states. A link that was revoked, used or has expired says which, and tells the recipient what to do next.
  • Copy without revealing. Copy a username or password from the list in one click. Copied passwords clear from the clipboard after 30 seconds.
  • Duplicate a credential to use it as a starting point for the next one.
  • Client vault pages now open the main vault filtered to that client, so every feature is available there.
  • Sharing from a company's Credentials tab uses the same share options as the vault.

Fixes

  • Share links open again. Opening a credential share link showed a "Cannot GET" error instead of the credential. The same fault affected document share links and data export links, and all three are fixed.

Security

  • Every reveal, copy, share and export is recorded against the person who did it, on the credential itself.
  • Revoked and used links are wiped. The shared contents are erased when a link ends, not only hidden.
  • Exports are administrator-only and are recorded on every credential they include.
