The Plenix Team·29 September 2026·3 min readRelease 2026.09.7 makes the Document Hub easier to share from, easier to search, and fully accountable to administrators.
New features
Share a folder or file by email
- Right-click any folder or file and choose Email a link…. Add recipients in To, CC and BCC. You can paste a whole list of addresses, and duplicates and invalid addresses are caught before anything is sent.
- Plenix sends the email for you. It includes your message, a button to open the item, the link itself, what the link allows and when it expires. If the link has a password, the email says the password will come separately and does not include it.
- You can send a new link, or send one of the item's existing links again.
Share links with expiry and password, in one place
- Share… on the right-click menu opens the share dialog on the Share link tab. Choose what the link allows, set an expiry (1, 7, 30 or 90 days, or a date of your choosing) and a password, and copy the URL straight away.
Give many people and groups access at once
- In Permissions, you can select several users, several security groups, or a mix of both, then grant them the same rights in one step.
New columns, filters and sorting
- The list view has new columns: Created by, Modified by, Last accessed and Last accessed by, alongside Created and Modified.
- Use Columns to choose which columns you see, and Filter to filter any column. Click a column heading to sort ascending or descending. Your choices are remembered in your browser.
- Folders always stay above files, whatever the sort.
Document audit log for administrators
- Administrators have a new Audit log button in Documents. It covers the whole library: files and folders created, edited, renamed, moved, deleted and restored, views and downloads, versions, share links, emails sent, permission changes and security group changes. Each entry shows who did it and when.
- Filter by category, person or item and date range, and export the results to CSV.
Improvements
- The right-click menu only shows the actions you can take. Rename and Move need edit access, Share and Email a link need share access, and Permissions appears only if you can manage the item's access.
- If a folder can't be opened, Documents now explains why (no access, or the folder was moved to the trash) with Try again and Back to All Files, instead of showing an empty page.
Changes
- Version history and the Activity log are now for administrators only. On app.plenix.cloud that means super admins, and in your workspace it means your administrators. Everyone else can still upload a new version of a file they can edit.
Fixes
- People with access through a role other than administrator, such as Director, can now open files and folders they have been given access to. Previously the folder counts showed the items, but the list stayed empty.
Security
- Permission changes, security group changes and emailed share links are now recorded in the audit log. BCC recipients are recorded only as a number, so they stay private.
- Only people with share access to an item can email a link to it. At most 50 recipients can be added per email.
