Plenix 2026.09.4 — Your access follows you everywhere, not just the menu
Per-screen access now applies to dashboard widgets, search, reports and AI search, and every page hides the New, Edit and Delete buttons you can't use. Pay figures in widgets are visible to HR and administrators only.

The Plenix Team·29 September 2026·2 min readRelease 2026.09.3 let you give someone access to single screens, such as Bills but not Invoices, and choose what they can do on each one. Release 2026.09.4 applies those same rules everywhere else in Plenix where records appear, not only in the menu.
Improvements
Dashboards, search and reports follow screen access
- Dashboard widgets only show data from screens the person can open. For example, someone with Bills but not Invoices can build and see bill widgets. Invoices are not offered as a data source, and an existing invoice widget says their access does not include it.
- Headline figures on the main dashboard follow the same rule. Deal, lead and contact numbers only appear to people who can open Deals, Leads or Contacts.
- Global search and AI search only return records from screens the person can open. If search finds a type of record it doesn't recognise, it leaves it out rather than showing it.
- Reports built on a screen someone can't open are hidden from them, and they can't run those reports.
Buttons you can't use are hidden on every page
- Every module now hides New / Add, Edit and Delete buttons when the person doesn't have that action on that screen. This covers every screen in Accounting, CRM, Ticketing, ERP, HR, Inventory, Purchasing, Field Service, RMM, Monitoring, Compliance, Documents and the other modules.
- Items added inside a record, such as milestones and risks on a project, notes on a disciplinary case, time entries and requesters on a ticket, or steps in a campaign sequence, need Edit on that record.
- Tabs on a company record follow the screen they belong to. For example, the Deals tab on a company only shows New Deal to people who can create deals.
- The server still checks every action, so hiding a button is a convenience, not the only protection.
Security
- Salary totals and averages in dashboard widgets are now visible only to HR Admins, HR Managers and Administrators. Other people can still count employees, but can't see pay figures.
