The Plenix Team·10 October 2026·2 min readRelease 2026.10.31 rebuilds the Payroll Countries page in HCM. Setting up the tax rules for a country used to mean typing the bands as code. Now you pick the country and it is ready.
New features
- Nine ready-made countries. Add the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands or Belgium with one click. Each comes with its 2026 income tax bands, tax-free allowance, and the employee and employer contribution rates.
- Tax bands without code. Each band is a row: where it ends and its rate as a percentage. Add or remove a band with a button. Contribution rates are typed as percentages too.
- Try a salary before you save. Type a yearly salary while you edit a country and see the income tax, the contribution, and the take-home pay for the year and the month.
- Any other country. For a country that is not in the list, fill in its name, code, currency, allowance, bands and rates in the same form.
Improvements
- The UK is the default. A new workspace starts with the United Kingdom added and set as the default country for payroll.
- One default, chosen in one click. Choose "Make default" on any country. The page and Payroll Settings now always agree on which country is the default, and the default cannot be removed by mistake.
- You can see when figures are out of date. Each country is labelled "Current rates", "Differs from current rates" or "Your own setup". "Use current rates" replaces older or changed figures with the ready-made ones. Figures you saved earlier are not changed until you choose it.
- Each country says what it leaves out. The ready-made figures are a simplified estimate. Open a country to see what is not included, such as state or regional tax, contribution ceilings and tax credits.
Fixes
- Mistakes in tax bands are caught when you save. Bands that overlap, leave a gap, or carry a rate above 100% are refused with a plain message instead of producing a wrong payslip later.
